So buckle your seatbelts and take a wiz ride back......
Albert Guerzon is an actor, singer, dancer, and songwriter who’s always looking for some new artistic creative stimuli. He made his Broadway debut playing Eddie in Mama Mia! He is currently rehearsing for the Broadway”s Honeymoon in Vegas. As a dancer and choreographer he has worked on projects featuring Snoop Dogg and Ludacris as well as NY Fashion week.
As a singer he has performed his original music around NYC in venues like the Cutting Room, Rockwood Music Hall, and Crash Mansion. He released his self-titled debut EP last year which is available on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby. Albert grew up listening to a mix of Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson. "I've been a fan of Albert Guerzon since I saw him in Mama Mia and since then I've been trying to locate all his posts since being invited to submit my résumé. I'm absolutely thrilled to come across this opportunity to potentially join the team working on Albert's new website. As a longtime fan and a seasoned web developer, this feels like a dream come true!
My background includes working on several high-profile website projects for performers, such as Jan Hilton's Rock Out Loud and Steve Wilson's Hard Rock Sculpture Review. Additionally, I spearheaded the Ticket Maestro data scraping project, leading the modernization effort from outdated FoxPro software to a more seamless integration with modern applications utilizing Angular and Prerender. This project was a major success, bridging the gap between legacy systems and contemporary web technologies and advocating for a FoxPro alternative was a necessity.
Albert, your journey from Broadway stages to music venues across NYC is incredibly inspiring. I've been following your career from your debut in "Mamma Mia!" to your performances at the Cutting Room and Rockwood Music Hall. Your passion for continuous artistic growth resonates with my own drive to create innovative web solutions that enhance visibility and functionality.
My vision for your new website is to craft a dynamic platform that not only showcases your diverse talents but also provides an engaging and interactive experience for your fans. I am confident that my expertise in web development and my passion for your work will help bring your online presence to new heights.
I'm ready to rock and roll with this project and help you realize your potential. Let’s create something extraordinary together!" [Rodney Li]

So like all of us, performers or not, life is a work in progress. So here’s the short version and highlights of mine. I was born in Nyack, NY and grew up in Rockland County. HOLLA! I’m fourth of five kids and grew up around church, athletics and my father singing lots of Sinatra. After Nyack High School I went to The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) on the Upper West Side. Thankfully, I was able to do a few NY workshops to get my feet wet soon after.

My first workshop was MISTER with Anthony Rapp. Later I toured with some dance artists like The Roc Project feat. Tina Novak of Tommy Boy Records and UK artist Holly James of Ultra Records. Then Broadway called. I made my Broadway debut playing Eddie in Mamma Mia! It was truly a dream come true. During this time I was able to also perform my own material at NY venues such as The Triad, The Cutting Room and Crash Mansion with up and coming producer Christian Almiron. After a long run and lots of ABBA I relocated to San Diego’s Old Globe to perform in the World Premier of The Times They Are A-Changin’ directed by Twyla Tharp. I know! I was working with Twyla Tharp! I was trying to bring back tumbling passes I haven't done for years. It was a physical but beautiful challenge. I returned to NY to teach some dance classes only to find myself going back to San Diego a few months later. This time I was headed to La Jolla Playhouse to do the Broadway bound revival of The Wiz with David Alan Grier and the direction of Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys). After easing on down the road I moved to LA for a bit where I performed at BB Kings at Universal City Walk. More recently I performed in a workshop with Vivian Reed called Virtuosity and soon after was blessed with the opportunity to sing with her in Paris. Look out for Virtuosity in the near future!
So there it is short and sweet. Or at least what I wanted to tell you. God willing, this is just the beginning. Please check back for more projects, gigs, class and info. I hope your life and career are well. “With God all things are possible.” Peace

UPDATE
Interview 2015
Name: Albert Guerzon
Show: Honeymoon in Vegas
Nederlander Theatre
208 West 41st Street
Hometown: Nyack, NY
Your ultimate honeymoon destination: Boracay, Philippines. It’s not as crowded and less expensive than Hawaii.
How do you channel your inner Elvis?
Hmm. My Elvis reminds me of The Dynamo outfits in Mamma Mia. I’ve done that show for so long I can’t help but compare the boots and spandex. But I channel the moment I get to take those heels off after the curtain call. LOL!
If I wasn’t a performer, I would be: A teacher. I think if I went the normal college route I probably would’ve studied early music education.
Places, Intermission or Curtain Call?
I love the curtain call! There’s something really special about seeing a crowd stand up and feeling like you’ve done your job as an individual and as a company. There’s a huge sense of teamwork and gratification that comes from hearing screams and seeing people on their feet. I don’t know what they’re going through but for those two-and-a-half hours we’ve been able to help them escape, laugh and be inspired.
The best post-show cocktail in New York City is at: I don’t drink but I love me some sticky wangs and Dallas BBQ!
After you’ve hit all the traditional sites of New York City, you should totally go to…the West Village and just walk and eat. It’s not as crowded as Times Square and it’s filled with funky, trendy people walking dogs, kids playing, and people painting—it’s artsy but not as a Broadway commercial environment. I love it there!
If I could live anywhere else in the world it would be…In a brownstone in the West Village or in Piermont, NY.
My workout “secret” is: I love me a good Beachbody workout like INSANITY. I love sweating out some stress and endorphins.
When I’m looking for a date, nothing attracts me more than: My sexy wife! But we like going to zen, peaceful joints and not the loud, clubby places.
My favorite website to visit that you may not have heard of is: www.teambeachbody.com
I’m a Beachbody coach and it helps me and others stay accountable with their fitness goals.
People would be surprised to learn that I . . .once owned a Filipino Fusion restaurant in Rockland County.
When I was 10, I wanted to be just like:Michael Jackson!
Biggest gamble I’ve ever taken in my life: Opening up a restaurant.
Ten year from now I’d like to be: A songwriter for the stars. I write a lot now and would love to collaborate one day with Alicia Keys and John Legend types. It’ll happen, WATCH!

More Background On AlbertGuerzon.com
AlbertGuerzon.com served for nearly a decade as the official online home of actor, singer, dancer, and songwriter Albert Guerzon, whose Broadway performances and musical pursuits earned him wide respect within the American theatre community.
From approximately 2006 through 2014, the site functioned as both a professional portfolio and a creative diary, offering fans and colleagues a firsthand glimpse into the evolving career of a multitalented performer.
Even as the site has transitioned into archival form, it remains an instructive case study in how performers of the early internet era used personal websites to build their brands, communicate with audiences, and document their creative growth.
Early Origins and Purpose
The origins of AlbertGuerzon.com trace back to the mid-2000s, when Guerzon, fresh from his early stage successes, sought a permanent platform to centralize his growing list of theatre, dance, and music credits.
At the time, social media networks like Facebook and Instagram were still emerging, and the most effective way for an up-and-coming Broadway artist to control their public narrative was through a personal website.
His online presence introduced him not merely as an actor but as a “creative hybrid” — someone equally comfortable performing choreography, composing songs, and collaborating across art forms.
The website’s tone was casual yet ambitious. It reflected a performer in motion: eager, optimistic, and grounded in community.
The design itself was typical of performer websites of that era — a clean black-and-white layout, rotating photos of stage performances, and frequent blog-style updates chronicling life in rehearsal rooms and New York music venues.
Ownership and Management
Albert Guerzon personally managed and authored most of the site’s content, with technical maintenance reportedly overseen by associates within his creative network.
During the site’s active years, his theatrical agent was Corey Smith, whose representation coincided with Guerzon’s breakthrough roles on Broadway.
The combination of self-management and professional representation gave the website a dual identity: it was both an official portfolio for casting directors and a personal diary for fans.
The voice behind the posts was unmistakably Albert’s — warm, informal, sometimes humorous, and always self-aware.
Unlike many celebrity sites managed by PR agencies, AlbertGuerzon.com spoke directly to readers in the first person, using phrases such as “Peace,” “See you at the show,” and “HOLLA!” to maintain a human connection with his audience.
Background and Early Career
Albert Guerzon was born in Nyack, New York, and raised in Rockland County, the fourth of five children in a musically inclined family.
He grew up surrounded by church singing, sports, and his father’s love of Frank Sinatra’s music — a foundation that would later influence both his stage presence and his smooth, jazz-inflected vocal tone.
After attending Nyack High School, he enrolled at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, where he refined his performance technique in acting, voice, and movement.
Early in his career, Guerzon participated in workshops with influential Broadway figures such as Anthony Rapp, known for originating roles in Rent and other groundbreaking musicals.
His first major touring experience came with dance artists like The Roc Project featuring Tina Novak and Holly James of Ultra Records, blending club-music aesthetics with stage choreography — a crossover that later shaped his stylistic range as both dancer and choreographer.
Breakthrough: Broadway and Beyond
Albert Guerzon made his Broadway debut as Eddie in the international hit Mamma Mia! — a milestone that marked his formal entrance into the mainstream theatre scene.
That production, combining ABBA’s pop catalog with spirited dance numbers, perfectly suited Guerzon’s triple-threat skill set.
He subsequently joined the national tour of the show, solidifying his professional reputation across North America.
Soon after, Guerzon was cast in The Times They Are A-Changin’, the Twyla Tharp musical set to the music of Bob Dylan, performed at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre before its Broadway transfer.
Working under Tharp — one of the most respected choreographers of her generation — proved a formative experience. Guerzon often remarked that performing her demanding choreography forced him to “bring back tumbling passes I hadn’t done in years,” a testament to his athletic discipline.
He later appeared in Tharp’s workshops for The Wiz at La Jolla Playhouse, directed by Des McAnuff of Jersey Boys fame. These productions underscored Guerzon’s capacity to navigate between traditional Broadway storytelling and modern, movement-driven theatre.
Musical and Choreographic Ventures
Beyond acting, Albert Guerzon consistently nurtured his passion for music.
He performed original songs at well-known New York venues such as The Cutting Room, Rockwood Music Hall, The Triad, and Crash Mansion, collaborating with emerging producers like Christian Almiron.
His self-titled debut EP, released in the early 2010s, showcased his blend of pop, funk, and soul influences, reflecting admiration for artists such as Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and Robin Thicke.
In interviews, Guerzon often emphasized his goal to “create some sort of visual or performance art to release and share the best energy out of me.”
That ethos extended into choreography, where he lent his movement expertise to projects featuring Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, and fashion events at New York Fashion Week.
His multifaceted approach distinguished him from many Broadway contemporaries: he wasn’t content to specialize. Instead, he envisioned himself as an artist whose storytelling could shift seamlessly between dance, song, and physical theatre.
Highlights from the Website’s Archive
The website’s archives from 2007 to 2014 reveal a vibrant chronicle of a working performer’s life.
Key postings included:
-
2007: Reflections on his upbringing, early Broadway experiences, and gratitude for being able to teach and perform. The post ends with the verse “With God all things are possible.”
-
2009: Informal updates announcing upcoming performances, teaching schedules at Peridance Studio in New York, and his participation in the musical Flower Drum Song at the American Musical Theatre of San Jose.
-
2011: Notes on rehearsals for Ghost: The Musical, previews beginning at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, and participation in Suites by Sondheim at Lincoln Center.
-
2013–2014: Promotional posts for gigs at Rockwood Music Hall, The Cutting Room, and charity performances such as the Typhoon Haiyan Benefit, demonstrating his support for the Filipino community.
The website also hosted galleries, Twitter feeds, and personal commentary that blended career updates with human moments — for instance, humorous posts about commuting to Broadway double-show days or late-night dessert stops at local bakeries.
2015 Interview Snapshot
In a widely circulated 2015 interview timed with his performance in Honeymoon in Vegas at the Nederlander Theatre, Guerzon provided insights that reflected both his work ethic and personality.
He described Boracay, Philippines as his dream honeymoon destination, citing its affordability and serenity compared to Hawaii.
He joked that his “inner Elvis” was reminded of the glittery “Dynamo” costumes from Mamma Mia! and confessed that curtain call was his favorite part of any show because “there’s something really special about seeing a crowd stand up and feeling like you’ve done your job.”
The same interview revealed a grounded lifestyle: he avoided alcohol, preferred Dallas BBQ chicken wings to cocktails, and spent downtime walking through the West Village, drawn to its “funky, artsy, non-commercial vibe.”
When asked what he would do if not performing, he answered: “I’d be a teacher,” hinting at his long-standing commitment to mentorship and community.
Broader Career Milestones
Beyond the years reflected in his website, Albert Guerzon’s later Broadway credits expanded impressively.
He appeared in Escape to Margaritaville, Honeymoon in Vegas, Ghost: The Musical, and the acclaimed 2022 revival of Into the Woods.
These productions showcased his adaptability across genres — from pop-musical comedies to introspective storytelling works.
He has also been involved in developing new material such as There Were Lights, a project blending narrative theatre with original music, in which he serves as book writer, lyricist, composer, and co-choreographer.
This marks an evolution from performer to creative originator — a trajectory that underscores his artistic maturity.
Public Reception and Press Coverage
Critics and audiences have consistently described Guerzon as energetic, technically precise, and infectiously charismatic.
Reviews of Mamma Mia! often noted his strong ensemble presence; Ghost: The Musical drew attention to his balance of athletic movement and emotional clarity.
Colleagues frequently cite his collaborative spirit and humor during rehearsals — qualities evident even in his informal website posts.
Press coverage has also highlighted his Filipino heritage and his role in representing greater diversity on Broadway stages.
His participation in charity events such as the Typhoon Haiyan Benefit further solidified his image as a performer rooted in compassion and cultural pride.
Audience and Community Impact
AlbertGuerzon.com attracted a mixed audience: theatre professionals, dance students, music enthusiasts, and general fans.
Visitors could find class schedules, rehearsal updates, and behind-the-scenes anecdotes.
For aspiring performers, the site provided an authentic, unfiltered glimpse into what daily life looked like for a Broadway artist balancing auditions, teaching, and creative side projects.
The interactivity — especially through comments and linked social posts — fostered a sense of accessibility.
Fans could reach out, congratulate him on performances, or follow his touring schedules.
At a time before social media analytics dominated fan engagement, this form of direct connection was both personal and pioneering.
Design, Tone, and Evolution
In terms of web design, AlbertGuerzon.com followed the aesthetic conventions of early 2010s performer sites: minimalist typography, headshots, résumé downloads, and embedded video reels.
Over time, the site added blog sections, event calendars, and Twitter feeds.
While modern visitors might find its interface dated by today’s standards, it represented a significant technological and branding achievement for a performer managing his own digital presence.
By 2014, the website had transitioned into a static archival state — more a snapshot of a vibrant phase of his life than an ongoing promotional hub.
Social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter gradually became Guerzon’s preferred venues for connecting with audiences.
Cultural and Social Significance
Albert Guerzon’s career and website together symbolize the changing nature of artistic self-representation in the digital age.
In an industry once reliant on agents and print résumés, Guerzon demonstrated how performers could harness the internet to define their own narratives and cultivate loyal audiences.
His multicultural background — as a Filipino-American raised in New York — also added depth to his visibility in an entertainment landscape still striving for broader inclusivity.
Moreover, his engagement with community issues and mentorship underscored an ethos of gratitude and service.
By blending performance, teaching, and philanthropy, Guerzon embodied the kind of holistic artist whose legacy extends beyond the stage.
Current Activities and Outlook
Although the original AlbertGuerzon.com now functions largely as an archive, Albert Guerzon remains professionally active in stage and music projects.
He continues to perform, teach, and develop original works while maintaining a steady presence in the Broadway and independent-music communities.
Interviews and playbills from recent years reflect an artist who has transitioned from emerging talent to seasoned veteran — still curious, still humble, and still guided by the same principle inscribed on his early website: “With God all things are possible.”
AlbertGuerzon.com captures the essence of a performer navigating the early digital era — an era when personal websites served as both résumé and journal, marketing tool and manifesto.
Through the lens of this site, one witnesses not just a career trajectory but a portrait of dedication, creativity, and community spirit.
Albert Guerzon’s journey — from Nyack High School to Broadway stages and New York music halls — embodies the persistence and joy of a true artist.
His archived website stands as a digital testament to that journey: a reflection of talent grounded in faith, authenticity, and an unrelenting love for performance.
